George Michael’s family join him at hospital during pneumonia treatment
The family of George Michael has flown to Vienna to visit the singer in hospital, the Daily Mail reports.
Ex-boyfriend, Kenny Goss, is also reported to be travelling to Austria.
The musician, who is suffering from severe pneumonia, has been joined by his father Kyriacos Panayiotou and sisters Melanie and Yioda.
A source told the Mail: “His whole family are with him. They are very close-knit.
George is just such a lucky man in that sense. He’s so adored.”
Vienna’s AKH hospital is the largest in Europe, with 1,600 doctors.
In October, a viral infection caused Michael to pull out of a show at the Royal Albert Hall in London, following advice from doctors.
Recently, the singer criticised Eastenders on Twitter for its negative portrayal of gay people. Michael remarked that the storyline between the show’s gay couple Christian and Sayed was “insulting to the gay community.”
