Simon Cowell has been forced to issue a statement denying claims that his record label SYCO had signed Britian’s Got Talent finalist, 12-year-old Ronan Parke, over two years ago and that Parke was made to act more gay for publicity purposes.

An anonymous blogger, who claims to be a Sony Music executive, posted the allegations earlier today, said they were disgusted with the allegedly dishonest way the show is being run. The blogger claimed that producers had already met Ronan prior to his audition and that he had been coached to win the contest.

The anonymous blogger also claimed that an executive said “no one has ever seen a ‘gay’ kid before, it’ll be a novelty.”

The Daily Mail has published an abridged version of the blog, which has been removed from the JustPaste.it website for legal reasons. However, the Daily Mail has removed all references to the word gay.

Ronan Parke was told to “not bother” going back to school by judge Michael McIntyre after impressing the audience at the London auditions.

The 12-year-old burst into tears when he was given three yesses after giving a rendition of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good.

The statement issued by SYCO reads: “There has been speculation on the internet that Britain’s Got Talent finalist Ronan Parke was known to and worked with Syco/Sony Music before entering the show. There is no truth in this story whatsoever. Ronan first came to Syco/Sony’s attention when he entered this year’s competition. Syco/Sony Music will not hesitate to take whatever legal action is appropriate to prevent further publication of these unfounded allegations.”

The police have been informed.
