A London man who stabbed his boyfriend to death last year will be sentenced today.

Robin Clarke, 40, from Avenue Road, Tottenham, was found guilty earlier this month of the manslaughter of Daryl Phillips, 39.

Phillips died in May last year when Clarke stabbed him in the leg during an argument at their home.

Clarke was cleared of murder when a jury at the Old Bailey decided he had not meant to kill his partner.

He has a history of violence and the court heard that Phillips’ sister Pauline Marshall had asked her brother to stay away from him.

Clarke told the court that a fight between the couple broke out because Phillips was drunk and had accused him of infidelity.

He will be sentenced today.
