Man pleads not guilty to murder of trans woman

A man has denied murdering trans woman Destiny Lauren.

Leo Fyle, 21, of Laleham Road, Catford, appeared via videolink at the Old Bailey today to plead not guilty to Ms Lauren’s murder on November 5th 2009.

Ms Lauren, 29, was found collapsed at her home in Leighton Crescent, Kentish Town. She was rushed to hospital but could not be revived.

Police confirmed she was a sex worker and initial post mortem examination results show she was strangled.

The Ham & High reports that Mr Fyle has been remanded in custody to go on trial in July.
