Last Friday, revealed that the launch of the Football Association’s video to tackle homophobia in the sport had been cancelled.

A premiere was to be held at Wembley Stadium tomorrow but FA chiefs said they needed more time to work on the project, which was criticised by some of those involved.

Former NBA basketball player John Amaechi told the video, in the form of a viral ad, was an “expletive-laden rant”, while Peter Tatchell said it was not in the style he had hoped for.

The FA has not officially released the video but seeding was approved after BBC Newsnight showed it last night.
