A man accused of trawling gay chatlines to find men to rob will stand trial in October.

Adil Zahid, 27, from Walthamstow, was charged with four counts of robbery, one of false imprisonment and one theft of a motor vehicle.

The alleged offences took place between June and August in Woodford Green and Tottenham.

At the time, police urged gay men to take care when using chatlines, saying that people should only meet in busy public spaces.

Zahid will appear at Wood Green crown court on October 15th.
