A Bromley man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a gay man and the attempted murder of his partner.

David Kilcullen, 46, pleaded not guilty to the fatal stabbing of Gerry Edwards, 59, and the attack on his partner, 56-year-old Chris Bevan at the Old Bailey. He appeared by videolink.

The couple were found at their flat in Page Heath Villas, off Bickley Road, in March. Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kilcullen was remanded in custody to face trial in August.
