A former Mr Gay Newcastle is among the gay contestants on this year’s Big Brother.

Twenty-two-year-old Charlie Drummond describes himself as “camp as Christmas”.

The contestant currently works as a customer services advisor at his local Job Centre Plus and greets his colleagues with “Good morning angels” and is met with the reply “Good morning Charlie!”

He took no time to bare his buttocks in the Big Brother garden.

He joins lesbian punk Lisa. The 41-year-old woman skipped into the Big Brother house amid boos from the crowd.

Not all of the contestants are official housemates as some will be sent home early in the programme.

But Lisa became an “official” housemate when she was the first person to answer a ringing telephone last night. She joins fellow “official” house mates Kris, Noirin and Rodrigo.
