A man has been charged with murder after a gay couple were shot in their home in Bradford in March.

Neville Corby, 44, died in the “execution-style” attack, while his partner Craig Freer, 31, is recovering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Ernest Wright, 58, was due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court today in connection with the incident.

He was charged with murder, attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Detective Superintendent Chris Thompson described Mr Corby, a father of two, as a victim of “a brutal, merciless, execution-style killing, all the more shocking as it occurred in a residential street at the time children were going to school.”
