David Cameron has accepted an invitation to appear at an event during London’s Gay Pride week, it has been reported.

He has apparently agreed to attend the Pride at Paramount event on June 30th, which is a private party hosted by Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Stourbridge Margot James, who is openly gay.

Ms James, who came in at number ten on our annual list of the most powerful LGBT person in British politics, told that Mr Cameron would be attending the event.

Although she could not say whether the Tory leader would be joining the march through London, she said he wanted to “show his support”.

Last year, Boris Johnson became the most senior Tory to join the parade, leading the march in a pink cowboy hat.
