Coronation Street Spoilers: Maria and Tony get close
Luke continues to rub Tony up the wrong way by lording it as the majority shareholder of Underworld. Then things get further out of hand when he is reminded of his past nearly everywhere he goes – first he spots Rosie wearing Carla’s cardigan which sets him in a spin, then when he is asked to feel Maria’s baby bump he has a panic attack.
There is some good news for him though as he enjoys a night of passion with Natasha and decides to hire a private investigator to look into Luke’s affairs. As Natasha becomes more attached to her new love interest, Maria warns her off. Does this mean she has her own ideas about Tony?
Maria is also feeling the effects of Carla’s bid to rid herself of the past when she receives a letter saying she has handed over her share of Ladrags to Maria, she’s unsure about accepting but realises she needs the security for her baby. Tom is peeved to discover that Maria now owns 75% of Ladrags and tries to convince her that they don’t need Tony’s advice anymore. But Maria disagrees and tells him that she values Tony’s help.
Peter’s drinking gets out of hand and Deirdre decides she needs to look out for Simon. But meanwhile, Ken is busy with Martha and seems oblivious to his family problems. As Peter shows he obviously is in no fit to care for Simon, Ken is enjoying an intimate glass of wine with his new friend – while narrowly avoiding questions about his home life. Will he ever come clean with Martha?
Tara has yet to sell a piece of artwork and Umed reckons Dev is being taken for a ride but Dev continues to defend Tara and her gallery despite having private misgivings. He gets Minnie to phone her masquerading as an art dealer. Minnie unwittingly finds herself agreeing to buy three pieces of art for £700.
Bill is worried when Audrey tells him she wants the money back from the builder’s yard. With business slow Bill doesn’t know how he is going to find the 7.5K to pay her back. Bill tells Jason that he can only afford to use him on a casual basis from now on as he has to pay Audrey back. Jason is gutted and angry with Audrey.
Elsewhere Julie is worried that she might be pregnant but Kirk is excited at the prospect.
