A shooting outside a lesbian bar in Baltimore has left one woman dead and two injured.

According to local police, an argument on the dance floor at the Coconuts Cafe downtown in the Mount Vernon neighborhood spilled outside after closing time.

Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman, said that one of the women involved in the dispute approached one of the victims outside from behind, beating her on the head with a metal pipe.

A scrum ensued, and the attacker returned to the SUV and got a handgun, shooting the first victim multiple times, Monroe said. She then shot through a window of the car, wounding the second victim in the hand.

The first victim was shot again, Monroe said and died at a hospital. A third woman who was standing nearby was hit by stray gunfire but wasn’t seriously injured.

The attacker has not yet been caught.
