TV personality Stephen Fry is the UK’s most followed twitter user.

The QI presenter and polymath regularly updates his twitter feed, and he already has more than 100,000 followers.

However, he is dwarfed by US President Barack Obama, who has more than 228,000 followers.

It is not known if the leader of the free world posts his own twitter information.

Mr Fry on the other hand has spoken of his love of the website and after he mentioned it on a talk show last week interest has soared.

CNN’s breaking news twitter is the second most popular blog with around 125,000 followers, ahead of Mr Fry.

Mr Fry’s latest entry: “Arrived at BH to do interview for R4’s Analysis. Sky blue, streets sparkly, cheeks pinks (sic).”

104,224 people are following.

President Obama’s twitter acccount does not appear to have been used since January 19th, the day before he was inauguarated.
