Brit actor Matthew Goode comfortable with gay kisses
British star Matthew Goode says that he’s comfortable with gay kisses and nude scenes in the remake of Brideshead Revisited.
The actor needed to get intimate with co-star Ben Whishaw in the film version of Evelyn Waugh’s 1945 classic British novel. A story of forbidden love and the loss of innocence in pre- World War Two Britain.
“I think the kiss is fine,” he told the Observer “I mean you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t, really.
“Some will see it as a cop out that we didn’t show more… all I can say is it’s such a good story and we had so much fun making the film.”
The actor was also required to go naked for a skinny-dipping scene.
“It was cold – I think the crew will vouch for me on that! My teeth were chattering!”
“But it’s liberating in a way, saying: ‘Hello everyone, this is my cock. I hope we can work with it for the next three hours’.”
