After a not inconsiderable time testing it, we can reveal the PinkNews.co.uk Facebook Application.

Developed and maintained by PinkNews.co.uk founder and Channel Four News correspondent, Benjamin Cohen; the application, once added, allows you to view, post and share the latest PinkNews.co.uk articles and features within Facebook.

For example, when a story comes along of particular interest, you can post the headline together with a comment of your own onto your Facebook Wall.

To install it click here, this will take you to the application’s page on Facebook. If you are not already signed up to Facebook, you will need to do so first.

The first screen (assuming you have logged into Facebook) will ask you if you want to stay logged into PinkNews, tick the box, then click the button. Then another screen of questions will ask you for permission for PinkNews to appear on your Facebook profile, leave the boxes ticked and click the large Add button.

Now the PinkNews.co.uk application should be somewhere near the bottom of your profile, drag to where you’ll notice it most (perhaps near the top).

If you like it, you can invite others to use it by clicking on “Invite Friends”. Simply type in some names, click “Invite” and hopefully, your friends will be readers too.

It’s actually the first LGBT application developed on Facebook and one of only a handful developed for use by the readers of a UK publication.
