A judge has ordered a tearful Paris Hilton back to prison on today to complete sentence for repeated probation violation, effectively overturning a decision made by the local sheriff to allow the star to spend part of her sentence under home arrest.

Paris Hilton is apparently a “gay icon” following her television series The Simple Life. A pool party she had planned for this evening has evidentially been put on ice.

Paris Hilton was found guilty of breaking her probation and driving ban, but the medical condition that temporarily freed her from jail has not been disclosed.

Yesterday Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office said: “My understanding is that she’s confined to her home with an ankle bracelet, she cannot leave that facility. She will fulfil the remainder of her time confined to her home.”

As the judge sent her back to the prison, Hilton said: “Mom, Mom. It’s not right.”

Los Angeles city attorney Rocky Delgadillo said Friday’s decision “sends the message that no individual, no matter how wealthy or powerful, is above the law.”

Before she entered prison, Paris Hilton said: “This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make.

“Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence.”

The star of The Simple Life Star will now be confined to her cell for 23 hours a day but gets an hour to shower (presumably with fellow inmates) and to make telephone calls. She is not near any other inmates who could pose a threat to her personal safety.

TMZ.com said Hilton’s attorney was planning to appeal her sentence as soon as possible.

The New York waxwork museum, Madame Tussaud’s is mocking Hilton. They’ve dressed her up in a black and white striped prison suit.

The London branch of the museum chain does not currently have a waxwork of the star.
