Award-winning photographs of transsexuals and drag queens are to go on show in Canary Wharf next month.

A retrospective exhibition of the award winning photographs of Jeanette Jones will be held at the Frontispiece Gallery on the concourse level of One Canada Square from 5 – 31 March.

The exhibition features a collection of images of drag queens and transsexuals published in Jones’ book Walk on the Wild Side.

Jones has many awards for her work which include “Best Use of Photography” at the Campaign Press advertising awards in 1995.

She started taking photographs in 1988, and her trademark black and white shots feature everything from nude men to ballroom dancing.

This exhibition just focuses on her work with transsexuals and drag artistes.

Jones will launch the exhibition at 6.00pm on 5th March with a book signing. A number of drag queens and personalities who are featured in the photography will also be present.

The gallery can be contacted on 020 7363 6336.
