A public relations company has launched a blog to discuss gay and lesbian communication issues.

FH Out Front, the first global gay and lesbian communications practice group, is affiliated to Fleishman Hillard, a large media relations firm.

The blog, located at www.outfrontblog.com features opinions and information from four major global centres of commerce and communications: London, Chicago, Washington and New York.

It is designed to stimulate debate and discussion on gay and lesbian communications issues, and is written by the three practice group co-chairs Eddy Evans (FH London), Ben Finzel (FH Washington DC) and Steve Kauffman (FH Chicago).

Eddy Evans, co-chair of FH Out Front in London, said: “We were the first in the industry to launch a specialist gay and lesbian PR offering to our clients, and now we have become the first agency to launch a blog dedicated to these issues.

“The new blog focuses on the issues related to gay and lesbian marketing and PR, and the challenges and opportunities associated with communicating by, for, with and to this growing audience.

“Although just six weeks old, the blog already features dozens of posts on a variety of gay and lesbian communications topics.”

This week it has been focusing on HIV/AIDS communications issues to coincide with World AIDS Day.
