Aguilera buys lesbian Queen Victoria painting

PinkNews Staff Writer April 4, 2006

Singer Christina Aguilera is reported to have purchased a £25,000 painting which portrays Queen Victoria as a lesbian.

The artwork is created by British graffiti artist, Banksy, it shows Britain’s longest serving monarch, dressed in stockings and suspenders, sitting on the lap of another woman.

It was bought by Aguilera on a visit to a London art gallery, a friend said: “”She said she loved the print so much she was going to hang it in her LA living room.

“She’s been a huge fan of Banksy for months and was desperate to get her hands on some of his artwork.”

Queen Victoria reigned from 1837 until 1901.
