Hit gay sitcom Will and Grace is set to break more homosexual barriers when it broadcasts an interracial gay kiss between the characters of Will and James, in America tonight.

Taye Diggs, plays James, Will’s (Eric McCormack) hunky Canuck temptation, who was seen on US screens last week. Grace (Debra Messing) agrees to marry James so he can get his Green Card and stay in the States.

Tonight’s episode ends with Will and James locked in a passionate kiss.

Reporters in America are questioning if the country will be ready for this, Mr McCormack said: “I’ve earned it, the character’s earned it and the show’s earned it.”

“And if Canadian and American viewers go eww! when they see the scene, “they haven’t been as emotionally involved in the show as they thought they were.”

He added, “First of all, nobody wants to see sitcom characters have sex.”

I didn’t even want to see the Sex And The City girls have sex. This is not why I watch a comedy.”

“The number of people in the Midwest that now watch a show with two gay characters, I think, is remarkable.”
