Israeli newspaper Haaretz comes out for equal marriage within Israel 28
6:48 PM — The Israeli newspaper Haaretz has become the latest publication around the world to call on its Government to introduce full marriage equality. Israel recognises same sex marriages, so long as they are conducted outside of the country. Within Israel, only religious marriages can take place, so gay and straight couples wishing to hold a civil marriage are forced to go to another state in order to marry.
