1:49 PM — A Tennessee student has accused his school of discrimination after he was told to go home and change out of a t-shirt bearing the word 'gay'. Cole Goforth's shirt read "I Heart Lady Gay Gay", a play on the name of bisexual singer Lady Gaga.

3:49 PM — A new poll has found that 52 per cent of Californian respondents support allowing gay marriage in the state. Fifty-two per cent of the 1,515 people surveyed agreed that "same-sex couples should be allowed to become legally married in the state of California", while 40 per cent disagreed.
