2:56 AM — The legal saga over gay marriage in California looks set to drag on for another year. Last night, the Californian Supreme Court agreed to decide whether the backer of Proposition 8, the 2008 voter initiative that banned gay and lesbian marriages has the right to appeal a lower court decision that the ban was unconstitutional.

5:02 PM — A lesbian couple in the US state of Nebraska have been barred from divorcing by a judge. Brenda Mueller and Deborah Pry were told that as Nebraska doesn't recognise gay marriage, it doesn't recognise gay divorce.
Seven-year-old donates to LA gay centre because he thinks inequality is unfair 40
12:55 AM — A seven-year-old has donated $140 to the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) because he doesn't think it's right for gay people not to be treated equally. The child, called Malcolm, was given $140 by his parents to donate to the charity of his choice. He chose to split the money between the gay centre and the HRC.
