5:36 PM — A trans woman who was raped has said she was forced to move house after her identity became public. The unnamed victim saw her attacker, Kiron Singh, Chand, jailed for eight years this week.

11:04 AM — Around this time last year, the Presbyterian Church of Wales made national news after paying out a record sum to a gay employee who had endured ‘grotesquely’ discriminatory conduct and sexual harassment. You might reasonably assume, then, that they’d watch their step when it comes to the ever-so-touchy subject of homosexuality. You would, of course, be wrong to make such an assumption.

6:14 PM — Gay hate crime convictions in Wales have doubled in the last three years, figures from the Crown Prosecution Service show. Statistics show there were 58 successful prosecutions last year compared with 29 in 2006.

1:47 PM — A man who smashed the door of a gay couple and threatened to kill them has escaped jail. Nathan Dally, 22, shouted: "I'm going to kill you, you faggots" as he kicked down the door of Daniel Smith and Gary Samuel's house in Rhondda, south Wales, as they slept.
