Door staff attacked with knuckle-duster at Belfast gay club
1:37 PM — Three door staff at a Belfast gay club were taken to hospital yesterday after being attacked with a weapon believed to be a knuckle-duster. The staff - two women and one man - were treated for non-life-threatening head or facial injuries.

10:25 AM — Figures released by the Health protection Agency (HPA) this morning have shown that the state of sexual health among the UK population is poor, with STI rates reaching record levels. The figures have also revealed that gay men are of partcular concern.

Religious protests permitted at Belfast Pride 7
11:33 AM — Belfast's Parades Commission has said that no restrictions will be placed on protests against the city's Pride march. The event, expected to attract up to 15,000 people, will be held on Saturday July 31st and is targeted every year by anti-gay demonstrators from Sandown Free Presbyterian Church.

3:15 PM — The Mayor of Antrim has been barred from standing as an Ulster Unionist candidate, because, he claims, he is not "politically correct" enough for the Tories. Adrian Watson said several years ago he would not let gay couples stay in his guest house.
