5:07 PM — Two men have been the victims of alleged sexual attacks after leaving the Heaven nightclub in Villiers Street, London. The alleged attacks were said to have taken place in a car.

11:05 AM — A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a gay pensioner. Edward Highwood, 79, who was known as Teddy, was found dead at his home in Greenwich, south-east London, on Saturday July 18th.

7:48 PM — The bisexual senior Liberal Democrat MP Simon Hughes has confirmed that he is consulting with his solicitor after his phone was hacked by the News of the World. The saga relating to The Guardian’s allegations that the News of the World, Britain’s biggest selling newspaper operated a complex programme of hacking into celebrities mobile phone voicemail and paid off some of the victims has continued for another day.
Events for older LGBT people to be held in London 4

Gay rights hero Peter Tatchell named Campaigner of the Year 54
11:36 AM — Human rights campaigner and Green Party Parliamentary candidate Peter Tatchell, has won Campaigner of the Year at the fourth Observer Ethical Awards in London last night. In his acceptance speech, Mr Tatchell paid tribute to "the many human rights campaigners worldwide who risk their lives and freedom, in countries like Russia, Iran, Zimbabwe, Iraq and China. It is an honour to work with and support them."
