12:47 PM — Four men have been arrested over a homophobic stabbing in Camden, north London. The four, aged between 17 and 19, were arrested in Camden yesterday morning on suspicion of attempted murder.

2:34 PM — A man was stabbed in Camden on Monday by a knifeman who asked if he was gay, police have said. The 36-year-old, who had spent the evening in the Black Cap pub, was walking by Camden Lock Bridge with two friends at around 2.15am.

3:33 PM — London Friend, the city's oldest gay charity, has launched an emergency appeal to buy its current premises. The LGBT counselling service was founded 40 years ago and has six months to raise the funds to buy its Caledonian Road building.

London anti-hate crime charity opens drop-in service 2
4:10 PM — London charity Galop is offering a new drop-in service for LGBT people affected by hate crime, discrimination and domestic abuse. The service will also offer LGBT people the chance to talk to a sexual abuse caseworker in confidence about incidents, whether recent or from childhood.

3:29 PM — The family of a gay man killed in a homophobic attack say his only crime was to stand up for who he was. Ian Baynham, 62, died in hospital two weeks after he was attacked on a night out in Trafalgar Square in 2009 by teenagers who shouted homophobic abuse at him.

3:08 PM — The UK's only national independent LGBT news archive is moving to London. The Lesbian and Gay Newsmedia Archive (LAGNA) is currently housed at Middlesex University's Cat Hill campus but will move to the Bishopsgate Institute this month before the Cat Hill campus closes.

10:33 AM — A gay priest has been sacked for "inappropriate" conduct after he sexually propositioned a gay couple who were staying with him. The Rev David Gilmore, rector of St Anne's Anglican Church in Soho, was barred from working as a priest for two years.

Founder of gay football team honoured with MBE 4
10:25 AM — A founder of one of the UK's first gay football teams has been awarded an MBE in the New Year honours list. Aslie Pitter, 50, helped found London-based Stonewall FC almost 20 years ago. It is now the world's most successful gay football club.

1:52 AM — A friend of MI6 spy Gareth Williams, found dead after what police believe was a bondage sex game has said that the 31-year-old was not gay and was in fact studying for a new identity. Williams, whose naked body was found padlocked inside a sports bag in August was a GCHQ code-breaker who was on secondment to MI6 at the time of his death.

London men cleared of stab attack on ‘gay victim’ 6
2:09 PM — Two men and two teenage boys have been cleared of stabbing a man they allegedly thought was gay. The group was accused of attacking Ricky Brown, of Homerton, east London, because they believed he had made advances to young boys after offering them drink or drugs.
