Mr Paddick, came third in the 2008 Mayoral contest and less than a year ago told PinkNews.co.uk that he would not stand for Mayor again.

    11:28 AM — A London rickshaw driver has been cleared of raping a lesbian doctor. Murat Durmus, 23, of Walthamstow, said the pair had consensual sex after he drove her home from a night out on February 5th.

    11:35 AM — An 18-year-old has been found guilty of an unprovoked attack on a gay man in Camden, north London, earlier this year. Guelor Moaso, of Maitland Park Road, Chalk Farm, stabbed 37-year-old David Farrer three times.

    1:20 PM — London's renowned gay bookshop, Gay's the Word, has been attacked by vandals. Staff at the Marchmont Street store came to work this morning to find the front window smashed and the shopfront had been pelted with eggs.

    10:13 AM — Two men were attacked and robbed in Spring Gardens, Vauxhall, after London Pride. The men, aged 25 and 33, were returning home from a night out at around 1.40am Sunday July 4th when they were set upon by a gang of between eight and ten black males.
