Teen says he killed gay man because he came on to him
11:30 AM — A Lincolnshire teenager accused of murdering a pensioner says he lashed out because the older man came on to him. Aiden Jackson, is accused of murdering David Cowley, 67, at Sleaford Rail Station in November last year.

10:57 AM — A gay policeman who won Mr Gay UK has had the last of a series of charges against him dropped. PC Mark Carter, from Birkenshaw, was cleared in June of three counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.

Former police chief Brian Paddick wins Lib Dem nomination for Mayor of London 48
12:42 AM — Brian Paddick, formerly the most senior out gay police officer in Britain, has won the race for the Liberal Democrats nomination for the Mayor of London. Mr Paddick, came third in the 2008 Mayoral contest and less than a year ago told PinkNews.co.uk that he would not stand for Mayor again.

2:39 PM — East Lancashire's first gay Pride festival has been postponed until next year. Organisers of Burnley Pride said it had been "too adventurous" to plan the event in time for September.
Teenager ‘murdered gay man after promising him sex’
11:44 AM — A 17-year-old Lincolnshire boy has been accused of murdering a 67-year-old man after arranging to have sex with him. The teenager is said to have punched, kicked and suffocated the older man.

Keighley man jailed for horrific attack on lesbian couple 57
10:09 AM — A 22-year-old man from Keighley, West Yorkshire, has been jailed for six and a half years for a vicious attack on a lesbian couple. Adrian Feather was said to have borne a grudge against Verona Benson and Tracey Williams after an incident in a pub.

Woman accused of anti-gay attack showed jurors gay pride tattoo 17
5:34 PM — A woman accused of a homophobic attack showed jurors a picture of a rainbow tattoo on her bottom to prove she is not anti-gay. Lauren Proverbs, 21, of Borehamwood, was found not guilty of actual bodily harm over an incident in a takeaway in January.

2:38 PM — The director of Manchester Pride, Jackie Crozier, has announced she will leave her role. Ms Crozier announced today she would step down after six years with the event, although she will leave once a replacement has been found.
Leeds campaigners want official city gay quarter 6

2:17 PM — An estimated 40,000 people joined Liverpool Pride on Saturday - double the number who turned up last year. The festival, now in its second year, was held at the city's waterfront, where it is thought around 35,000 people joined the celebrations.

Man carjacked and left half-naked at gay cruising spot 67
3:42 PM — A man who was tricked into removing his trousers was carjacked at a gay cruising spot near Coventry. Leamington Crown Court heard that the victim, 45, began speaking to a younger man while parked in a layby on the A45 near the Stonebridge roundabout in Coventry.
