11:58 AM — The killer of gay Liverpool teenager Michael Causer has been sentenced to life imprisonment. James O'Connor, 20, must serve at least 11 and a half years before he can be considered for parole.
Gay video designer sues Microsoft over ‘homophobic’ taunts 10
11:23 AM — A video designer is suing Microsoft after alleging homophobic abuse. Jamie Durrant, 38, is suing the corporation for £45,000 for 'hurt feelings' and lost pay. According to the designer, he was called "fag boy Jim" by colleagues, who sent mocking emails making fun of his sexuality.

2:37 PM — Hate preacher Anjem Choudary launched a vitrolic attack on gays last week in which he said that they should be stoned to death. The former lawyer added that this would include gay business secretary Lord Peter Mandelson.

2:07 PM — A gay couple are suing after a Christian-run hotel in Cornwall barred them from staying in a room together. Martin Hall and Steven Paddy, who are civil partners, have launched a county court claim seeking up to £5,000 in damages alleging "direct discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation".

Bickley man still in hospital over homophobic attack 1
3:29 PM — A man seriously injured by an attack that left his partner dead is still in a critical condition in hospital. Chris Bevan, 56, who was stabbed several times on March 3rd, is recovering from injuries to his internal organs in a south London hospital.
God Hates Fags preachers target London primary school 26
10:40 AM — Preachers from the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church have said they plan to picket a London primary school which ran lessons about gay relationships. A picket schedule on their website announces they will be at the George Tomlinson School in Leytonstone next Friday.

Gay man de-baptises himself 69
5:44 PM — A man has asked to be 'de-baptised', saying that he was too young to decide his religion at the age of five months. John Hunt, 56, says that he wants his 1953 baptism at the St Jude and St Aidan parish church in the Southwark diocese, south London, cancelled because he was not consulted and does not believe in God.
Court told gay man was burnt to death by ex-boyfriend 11
3:20 PM — Kingston Crown Court has been told the final moments of a gay man who was doused in petrol and set alight outside his home. Charlie Davies, 23, was attacked on June 14th last year. He died 12 days later in hospital.

Police close Birmingham gay club after ‘violence’ 4
2:42 PM — West Midlands police have said drunken violence was the reason they closed a gay club in Birmingham on Friday night. Club DV8, on Kent Street in the city's gay village, was asked by police to close early due to "substantial and widespread drunken disorder".

Soho LGBT charity wins £1m lottery grant
3:23 PM — Kairos in Soho, a charity which provides support and activities for the LGBT community, is celebrating after receiving two lottery grants totalling almost £1 million. The organisation, based in Archer Street, was awarded the grants by the Big Lottery Fund.

Campaign for review of gender dysphoria policy in Oxfordshire 4
4:13 PM — Four trans women are campaigning for Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust to review its policy, funding and practice for the treatment of Gender Identity Dysphoria. According to the group, the PCT is "lagging behind" other counties in its understanding and treatment of the illness.

4:33 PM — William Wright, who went missing on a night out in Manchester at the weekend, has been found.
Lesbian and gay singing event scheduled for London’s South Bank in May 2
2:02 PM — Various Voices, a lesbian and gay choir and singing event, will be held in London at the South Bank Centre in May. Hosted by the London Gay Men’s Chorus, The Pink Singers and Diversity, the four-day festival will feature 60 choirs, 2,000 singers and 50 concerts.

11:25 AM — More information has come through on teenager William Wright, who went missing after a night out with friends in Manchester's gay village at the weekend. William, 19, from Crick, Wales, was last seen by his friends at 4:20am on Saturday, March 7th outside the View bar on Canal Street.

Police appeal for witnesses after man goes missing in Manchester’s gay village 7
10:29 AM — A 19-year-old man from North Wales has been reported missing after a night out in Manchester's gay quarter. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of William Paul George Wright, who was last seen on Canal Street in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 7th).
