He claimed for the full mortgage of a home he only half owned while the former Equality Minister, Barbara Follet claimed £25,000 for "security patrols". Another MP claimed for a chocolate Santa.

Lesbian couple found dead in suspected suicide pact 2
12:44 PM — A lesbian couple who were found dead in a north London hotel died in a suicide pact, it has been reported. Bose Ore, 30, and Frances Hamilton, in her fifties, were found in a room in Costello Palace Hotel in Finsbury Park on Sunday.

Man charged with murder of shooting of gay couple
11:34 AM — A man has been charged with murder after a gay couple were shot in their home in Bradford. Neville Corby, 44, died in the "execution-style" attack, while his partner Craig Freer, 31, is recovering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

9:17 PM — The Deputy Controller of BBC Radio 1 was forced to defend DJ Chris Moyles after accusations of homophobia from both the media regulator and a distinguished broadcaster at an industry event. But Moyles was not given a full seal of approval.

3:47 PM — A man who taunted the partner of a local councillor with homophobic abuse has been jailed for seven weeks. Christoper Small, 30 of Dent Street, Hartlepool, was jailed after pleading guilty to two counts of using threatening and abusive words.
Funding for LGBT MPs hits £2,000 target 2
