1:44 PM — Police in Brighton have launched their annual summer operation to tackle homophobic hate crime. The area has a large lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans population of around 35,000 people, with this number increasing in the summer due to the city's popularity as a gay tourism hotspot.

Police arrest two men over Southampton gay murder 3
6:04 PM — Police investigating the murder of a gay man who was found on Southampton common have arrested two men in connection with the murder. Nigel Price, 58, was found on Southampton Common on Saturday November 14th 2009 with severe head injuries. He had been at a local pub the night before and police believe he was attacked before 9.30pm.

5:59 PM — It has emerged that no one is to be charged by police in relation to the homophobic attack on gay trainee policeman James Parkes. Mr Parkes suffered fractures to his skull, cheekbone and eye socket during the October 25th attack, in which he was set upon by up to 20 youths in Stanley Street, part of Liverpool's gay village. He had been leaving Superstar Boudoir with his boyfriend and friends.
