3:22 PM — A 17-year-old male cheerleader says he was kicked off his school's team for kissing a boy. The student at Alice High School in southern Texas, who wishes to remain anonymous, says the kiss was caught on school surveillance cameras.

1:55 PM — Two men from Melton, Leicestershire, have been jailed for attacking and robbing a gay man. Andrew Davis, 42, and Jonathan Huckerby, 21, were jailed for eight and five years respectively for inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and theft.

David Kato buried as pastor condemns homosexuality 22
4:55 PM — Ugandan gay rights campaigner David Kato was buried today but scuffles broke out at his funeral as the pastor urged gays to repent. Mr Kato, who was murdered in his home on Wednesday, was laid to rest in his village near Kampala.

10:50 AM — Two men in Derby are the first to be charged under new laws against stirring up hatred on the grounds of sexual orientation. Razwan Javed, 30, and Kabir Ahmed, 27, were accused of handing out leaflets called 'The Death Penalty?' outside a Derby mosque.

Gay man wins £13,000 after being bullied at work 13
4:03 PM — A gay man has been awarded more than £13,000 in compensation after a tribunal found he had been bullied at work for his sexuality. Steven Bain said his colleagues at The Lighthouse in Glasgow, an architecture and design centre, asked him if he found the words "poof" and "queer" offensive and whether he had ever dressed as a woman.
