3:59 PM — A Botswana politician says he agrees with Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe's views on homosexuality. Pono Moatlhodi, who is the deputy speaker of the Botswana National Assembly, told a January meeting on HIV prevention that he would "never tolerate" gays and lesbians.

5:37 PM — Another Conservative MP has attacked plans to encourage schools to include references to gay people in maths, science and geography. South Dorset MP Richard Drax said the voluntary lesson plans were "ludicrous" and would impose "questionable sexual standards" on children.

Apple approves ‘anti-gay’ iPhone app 48
5:54 PM — Apple has approved an iPhone app which calls on users to sign up to a declaration against LGBT rights and gay marriage. The app is based on the Manhattan Declaration, a manifesto released in 2009 by Christian and Catholic leaders which rails against the "erosion" of marriage.
