4:08 PM — Tory MP and deputy Speaker Nigel Evans says Welsh rugby star Gareth Thomas inspired him to announce he is gay. His sexuality was an open secret around Westminster but Mr Evans decided to come out fully in December.

Lithuania to vote on fining people who ‘promote’ homosexuality 24
1:50 PM — The Lithuanian parliament will vote next week on legislation to impose heavy fines on those who "promote" homosexuality. Amnesty International said the law, if passed, would essentially ban Pride marches, gay rights campaigning and LGBT health services.

Isle of Man to consider civil partnerships for gay couples 8
5:52 PM — The Isle of Man's House of Keys will debate whether to introduce civil partnerships for gay couples on the island. The Civil Partnerships Bill will have its first reading tomorrow and, if passed into law, will give gay and lesbian couples the same rights afforded to straight married couples.
