SNP condemns gay blood ban 51
3:21 PM — The Scottish National Party has approved a motion condeming the blood donation ban on gay men. Delegates at the party's conference in Inverness backed a motion which said that new rules allowing gay men to donate blood if celibate for a year are not good enough.

Straight couple’s civil partnership application rejected 5
3:52 PM — A straight couple who were barred from having a civil partnership say they will fight the ban in court. Ian Goggin and Kristin Skarsholt, of Bristol, said they were disappointed to have been rejected by Bristol register office because they are straight but hope that their attempt would help change the law.

2:44 PM — Prime minister David Cameron has added his voice to a campaign to support bullied gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans youngsters. Mr Cameron recorded a video message for gay charity Stonewall in which he urged bullied teens to talk to someone about their problems.
