    4:45 PM — A Deptford man who posed as a taxi driver has been jailed for ten years for raping one man and sexually assaulting another. Mohamad Caid, 38, was convicted last month of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and two charges of false imprisonment. He was told he would serve at least five years.

    1:02 PM — A trans man in California has revealed he is expecting a baby next month. Scott Moore, 30, is thought to be the third trans man to go public with his pregnancy after American Thomas Beatie and Spanish man Ruben Noe Coronado.

    Film Review: The Road

    The Road is out now

    12:02 AM — This month heralds the much-anticipated release of The Road. This adaptation of the seminal book by Cormac McCarthy certainly has plenty to live up to with the cult following of the novel leading to the usual poor expectations of the movie version. However, it appears that the critics will be silenced as John Hillcoat has successfully recreated the post-apocalyptic world that was so vividly, if sparingly, portrayed by McCarthy.
