Peter Mandelson won’t rule out a return to politics 6
4:13 PM — Lord Mandelson has said he will not rule out a return to politics. The peer, who was considered the most powerful out gay man in Britain until Labour lost the general election, told Total Politics magazine that although he would not "sit by the telephone", he would not rule anything out.

Gay man wins £13,000 after being bullied at work 13
4:03 PM — A gay man has been awarded more than £13,000 in compensation after a tribunal found he had been bullied at work for his sexuality. Steven Bain said his colleagues at The Lighthouse in Glasgow, an architecture and design centre, asked him if he found the words "poof" and "queer" offensive and whether he had ever dressed as a woman.

9:25 AM — The secretary of the Campaign for Homosexual Equality, Griffith Vaughan Williams, has died at the age of 70. Mr Williams, known as Griff, became involved in gay rights work in 1964 and was a leading member of CHE from its earliest days.

£10,000 reward offered for information about death of gay man 17
5:00 PM — A £10,000 award is being offered to anyone who has information to solve the death of a gay man who was attacked in Southampton a year ago. Nigel Price, 58, was found on Southampton Common on Saturday November 14th 2009 with severe head injuries.

12:39 PM — Four men have been accused of stabbing a London man 12 times because they believed he was gay, a court has heard. The group, aged between 16 and 31, allegedly believed that the victim had made advances to young boys after offering them drink or drugs,

6:53 PM — A 27-year-old Saudi man has been punished with 500 lashes and five years in prison after appearing in a gay video. The short film was allegedly made inside a prison, although the Prison Administration denies this.

5:22 PM — A Lebanese Muslim man was refused a protection visa in Australia because authorities did not believe he was gay. The man, who cannot be named, says he is gay but became engaged to an Australian woman to escape his abusive father.

2:43 PM — Jonathan Ross says singer George Michael is a role model for young gay men who don't "embrace camp or feminised homosexual behaviour". According to Ross, the star, who was recently jailed for crashing his car under the influence of cannabis, is a "strong, butch, unashamedly gay man".

Trans woman’s murderer guilty of rape 2
7:27 PM — A man convicted of murdering trans woman Andrea Waddell has been found guilty of raping another woman. Neil MacMillan, 41, of Brighton, was found guilty today of raping the woman in her twenties five weeks before he strangled Ms Waddell, a sex worker.

4:24 PM — A woman who sexually assaulted a female colleague has been jailed for 12 months. Teresa Cottingham, an NHS worker from East Sussex, was staying in a hotel room with her workmate in North London on January 26th last year.

4:25 PM — A man has denied murdering trans woman Destiny Lauren. Leo Fyle, 21, of Laleham Road, Catford, appeared via videolink at the Old Bailey today to plead not guilty to Ms Lauren's murder on November 5th 2009.
