    Advertising Standards Authority accused of bias over Lord Smith’s @Out4Marriage video 47

    Lord Smith was the first openly gay MP and Cabinet Minister, and came out in 1984.

    2:54 PM — The anti-equality group, Coalition for Marriage (C4M) and the religious blogger, Archbishop Cranmer, have accused the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) of bias, after its chairman, Lord Smith, recorded and released a video for the @Out4Marriage Campaign, which asks people who support marriage equality to record and disseminate their message on YouTube.

    Lord Smith was awarded Freedom of the Borough

    1:46 PM — Lord Chris Smith, who was Britain's first out gay MP, has been honoured by Islington council. The former Labour MP for Islington South and Finsbury, who came out 25 years ago, was awarded Freedom of the Borough.
