Two drag queens attacked in Liverpool’s gay quarter 44
3:17 PM — Two drag queens have been attacked in separate incidents in Liverpool's gay quarter. Last Friday, drag queen and DJ Lady Shaun was punched in the face in the early hours of Friday morning. She was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw. Several weeks earlier, another performer was attacked.

Gay businesses asked to stump up for Liverpool Pride 8
2:23 PM — Liverpool's gay businesses are being asked to contribute to the cost of the city's Pride festival. City council leaders are to invest £10,000 in the August 6th event but want gay bars and clubs which will profit from Pride to help out financially.

4:32 PM — A gay arts festival and a project to remember victims of anti-gay hate crime visited Istanbul last week. The Turkish city is the 2010 European Capital of Culture and Liverpool-based arts festival Homotopia and The Pansy Project planted hundreds of pansies at the British Consulate.
