    12:43 PM — Londoners set a new world record on World AIDS Day 2011 for the most HIV tests administered in 8 hours. 467 tests were taken in the joint record attempt by 56 Dean Street clinic and G-A-Y, at the G-A-Y Bar on Old Compton Street.

    10:50 AM — Ahead of World AIDS Day, the Sexual Health Messaging Service, which allows men to alert previous partners when they are diagnosed with an infection, is being rolled out to more clinics and websites and is asking users to opt in to receive messages.

    4:42 PM — London-based gay charity Galop is seeking other men who have had to reveal past convictions for buggery or gross indecency. The charity is supporting John Crawford, who is fighting to remove a 51-year-old conviction for consensual homosexual sex from his criminal record.

    4:45 PM — A Deptford man who posed as a taxi driver has been jailed for ten years for raping one man and sexually assaulting another. Mohamad Caid, 38, was convicted last month of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and two charges of false imprisonment. He was told he would serve at least five years.

The charity warned that most people "disregard" religious teachings on issues such as homosexuality and said the appointment was "undemocratic".

    4:22 PM — Eminem has reportedly agreed not to perform any anti-gay songs in order to appear at the Wireless Festival next summer. The festival was said to be concerned about protests from gay groups such as OutRage! over some of the rapper's lyrics.

    12:06 PM — A far right Christian group has urged fellow Christians to support Uganda's proposed law that would make homosexuality punishable by death. The law would impose the death penalty on those convicted of having gay sex with a minor or disabled person or someone infected with HIV.
