Farooq Abdullah, the minister for new and renewable energy, was commenting on new Census figures which show that the ratio of female children to male children is the lowest since India gained independence.

Lithuania to vote on fining people who ‘promote’ homosexuality 24
1:50 PM — The Lithuanian parliament will vote next week on legislation to impose heavy fines on those who "promote" homosexuality. Amnesty International said the law, if passed, would essentially ban Pride marches, gay rights campaigning and LGBT health services.

6:53 PM — A 27-year-old Saudi man has been punished with 500 lashes and five years in prison after appearing in a gay video. The short film was allegedly made inside a prison, although the Prison Administration denies this.
