Two men beaten in homophobic attack in Londonderry 26
10:40 AM — Two men were beaten in Londonderry this weekend in what police are treating as a homophobic attack. The couple, aged 22 and 38, were set upon by three men in the city centre at about 2am BST on Saturday morning.

Declassified government files from early 1970s reveal gay issues in civil service 6
6:06 PM — A government file dating from 1974 has been released by the National Archives in Kew, south-west London. Titled "Guidance to Departments About the Employment of Homosexuals in the Public Service" it includes minutes from a 1974 meeting reviewing the rules on promoting "practising homosexuals" to senior civil service posts.

1:53 PM — The Football Association has cancelled the premiere of a short video to tackle homophobia in the sport. Today, two of those consulted over the project, Peter Tatchell and John Amaechi, criticised the film. Mr Amaechi described it as an "expletive-laden rant".
