Former Botswana president calls for legalisation of homosexuality 30
4:53 PM — Festus Mogae, the former president of Botswana, has said that homosexuality should be decriminalised to help tackle HIV rates. Speaking to the BBC's Africa Network, Mr Mogae said that while he does not "understand" homosexuality, gays and lesbians should not be arrested.

Elton John meets David Cameron to discuss HIV rates 30
11:29 AM — Elton John has met with prime minister David Cameron to discuss the work of his HIV and AIDS charity, the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The private meeting was held at Downing Street and John also met international development secretary Andrew Mitchell, whose department has worked with the EJAF on projects around the world.

New site set to support African HIV/AIDS epidemic
4:35 PM — The HIV/AIDS charity (RED) has launched a new online flower service that will help provide AIDS drugs for people living in Africa. The project, named FLOWE(RED), will sell ethically sources flowers imported from Africa and donate all profits to projects aimed at tackling HIV/AIDS in Africa. Last week saw the launch of its website www.flowered.com
