    Barnes and Noble pulls “anti-gay” calendar amid online feud 32

    11:59 AM — US bookseller Barnes & Noble confirmed this week it would stop selling a calendar criticised for its depiction of gays, while its author hit back at critics. Joe King's calendar, I'm Not Gay, I'm Just a Sissy: 12 Months of Sexual Confusion, which was only available from the retailer online, includes jokes about AIDS and gay lifestyles.

    1:38 PM — The US school board official who wrote on his Facebook page that "queers" and "fags" should kill themselves says he will resign. Clint McCance, who is the vice-president of the Midland school district in Arkansas , said last night he was sorry for his "hurtful" remarks.
