Stonewall says it will campaign for gay marriage 50
3:10 PM — Gay lobbying charity Stonewall says it will campaign for lesbian and gay couples to have civil marriages in the UK. The charity has come under pressure in recent months from several of its co-founders and other gay campaigners to widen its remit on the issue.

6:03 PM — Gay rights charity Stonewall has released a parenting guide for gay dads. The guide tells would-be fathers about their rights under the law and also gives information about adoption, surrogacy, sperm donation and co-parenting.
Stephen Fry feels ‘sorry for straight men’ 114

Iraqi LGBT celebrates fifth birthday with London charity night
4:29 PM — Aid group Iraqi LGBT is to hold a fundraising night in central London next week. The group is celebrating five years of supporting persecuted LGBT Iraqis and claims to have helped save the lives of 100 people.

Pentagon tells military to start accepting gays and lesbians 3

Last week, California-based US District Judge Virginia Phillips ruled that the gay ban must end immediately. Yesterday, she issued a final ruling refusing to stay her order while the government appeals.

Actors paid to ‘act gay’ in Sydney Mardi Gras 18
11:21 AM — Actors were paid to pretend to be gay in 2008's Sydney Mardi Gras, it has been claimed. According to the Scavenger, at least six actors were hired by furniture company IKEA to join its float.
