Caution follows further homophobic taunts at Brighton football match 10
12:16 PM — A London football fan who shouted homophobic abuse at a Brighton football match has been formally cautioned after discussing the incident in an online forum. The 18-year-old was warned verbally by Sussex Police after he shouted abuse at Brighton and Hove Albion fans following a match on 6 November.

Marcus Collins loses out in final of X Factor 14
9:12 PM — Marcus Collins, who is openly gay, lost out to girl band, Little Mix, on the television talent show X Factor at the final broadcast this evening on ITV 1 and filmed in front of an audience of 10,000 at Wembley Stadium.

Gay couple subjected to anti-gay abuse on London train 136
10:36 AM — A gay couple were subjected to a torrent of offensive anti-gay abuse on a London Overground train earlier this month. The incident happened just before 6pm on the 17:38 Hampstead Heath to Stratford service on Saturday October 1st.

2:09 PM — A gay 15-year-old boy in Ottawa, Canada, killed himself after suffering years of depression and bullying. Jamie Hubley documented his struggles on his blog but wrote on Friday that he couldn't take any more.

5:08 PM — Three gay men have been been attacked in the US state of Utah in the last two weeks. Early on Thursday morning, 32-year-old Cameron Nelson was attacked in American Fork as he took out rubbish at a hair salon.

3:27 PM — Gay rights activists in St Petersburg held Russia's first legal pro-gay demonstration last Saturday. Around a dozen people gathered in the city centre with placards calling for gay rights, following a European Court of Human Rights ruling last month.
