11:46 AM — A second gay couple are suing a bed and breakfast which barred them from sharing a room. Michael Black, 63, and John Morgan, 58, have begun legal proceedings against the Swiss B&B in Berkshire, after owners Susanne and Mike Wilkinson denied them a double room last March.

New Tory MP: ‘There can’t be widespread discrimination if gays earn more than straights’ 50
3:57 PM — A new Tory MP who made headlines with his attack on "feminist bigots" has also questioned how the country can be "riddled with discrimination" if gay people earn more than their straight counterparts. Dominic Raab, the 37-year-old MP for Esher and Walton in Surrey, claimed that men should start "burning their briefs" in protest at the "raw deal" they get compared to women.

Report finds huge levels of discrimination against gay and trans people in Utah 19
9:20 PM — A report by the Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) has found significant homophobia and discrimination in the state of Utah, home to the Mormon Church. The study of 939 LGBT Utahans found that sixty seven per cent of transgendered and forty four percent of lesbian, gay and bisexual Utahans say they have either been sacked or have been denied a job or promotion as a result of their LGBT status.

Peter Tatchell: Discrimination would be ‘rampant’ if Christian hotel couple won case 51
1:30 PM — Discrimination would have become "rampant" again if a Christian hotel couple had won the right to bar gay couples, LGBT campaigner Peter Tatchell has said. He said that if Peter and Hazelmary Bull had won their case, the judgment would have set a precedent for countless claims.

5:09 PM — A judge is expected to rule tomorrow (Tuesday) on whether a hotel can lawfully bar gay couples. Peter and Hazelmary Bull, who own the Chymorvah Private Hotel in Cornwall, are being sued for discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation by a gay couple.
