    11:35 AM — A study has said gay couples in the US can pay thousands of dollars more in tax each year than similar straight couples, because the federal government does not allow married gay couples to file tax returns together.

    9:22 AM — A nativity scene featuring gay, lesbian and straight couples outside a church in California was reportedly vandalised on Christmas Day. Claremont United Methodist Church had erected a large set of silhouettes around a lit tree sculpture. The silhouettes featured one gay, one lesbian and one straight couple.
