4:34 PM — A 15-year-old Ohio student has been sentenced to a month and half in a juvenile detention centre after he was videotaped attacking a gay classmate. Levi Sever was also ordered to undergo counselling.

12:21 PM — Scottish police are appealing for witnesses after a gay man'a jaw was broken in Edinburgh city centre last night. The attack happened in the early hours of yesterday morning on Waverley Bridge.

‘Three deaths’ after London church advice to stop taking HIV medicine 114
1:29 PM — At least three deaths have been reported in London as a result of churches which claim to "heal" HIV and AIDS patients. According to BBC London, some evangelical Christian churches are encouraging patients to stop taking anti-retroviral drugs because God can heal them.

Spain to open first gay retirement home 91
5:04 PM — Work will begin on Spain's first gay and lesbian retirement home in the coming weeks. The December 26th Foundation in Madrid is named after the 1979 date when General Franco's anti-gay law was repealed.

Christian street preacher told gay couple to ‘burn in hell’
10:42 AM — A Christian street preacher has appeared in court charged with verbally abusing a gay couple. Michael Overd, 47, from Creech St Michael in Somerset, allegedly told the men that they were "evil" and would "burn in hell".

Marines begin recruitment drive at gay community centre 8
2:12 PM — Marine recruiters pitched up at an Oklahoma gay community centre to find openly lesbian, gay or bisexual recruits. The 18-year-old law banning openly gay troops was finally repealed yesterday and Marine recruiters set up a stall at the Dennis R Neill Equality Center in Tulsa.
