    5:04 PM — Work will begin on Spain's first gay and lesbian retirement home in the coming weeks. The December 26th Foundation in Madrid is named after the 1979 date when General Franco's anti-gay law was repealed.

    10:42 AM — A Christian street preacher has appeared in court charged with verbally abusing a gay couple. Michael Overd, 47, from Creech St Michael in Somerset, allegedly told the men that they were "evil" and would "burn in hell".

    Marines began targeting LGB people for recruitment yesterday

    2:12 PM — Marine recruiters pitched up at an Oklahoma gay community centre to find openly lesbian, gay or bisexual recruits. The 18-year-old law banning openly gay troops was finally repealed yesterday and Marine recruiters set up a stall at the Dennis R Neill Equality Center in Tulsa.
